Elyse (she/her) was born and raised in Kansas City and earned a B.A. from the University of San Diego (USD).  During her senior year at USD, she became ill and the only thing that helped her was acupuncture and Chinese herbs.  After graduating and making a full recovery, Elyse decided to become an acupuncturist and herbalist with the hope that she could help others.

After finishing a four-year program in three years, she graduated from Southwest Acupuncture College in Santa Fe, New Mexico, earning a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine (MSOM). In 2013, Elyse moved from Santa Fe, NM to Washington, DC and founded Cherry Blossom Healing Arts. Her vision is to create a wellness haven for Washingtonians and to provide high-quality, compassionate treatment and care for all.

Elyse has extensive experience treating chronic and acute pain, migraines and other neurological conditions, pre and post-operative pain management, anxiety, stress, insomnia, and women's health and wellness - including fertility, perinatal, postpartum, and menopause support.
