Behind the Scenes of Patient Care
Hello, I’m Maria, Cherry Blossom Healing Arts’ Office Manager. You’ll usually find me sitting at the front desk, unless I’m preparing myself a cup of coffee in the back! I enjoy being a part of every patient’s journey, even though that primarily consists of behind the scenes care.
I’m here to answer any questions you may have about scheduling, billing, insurances, or even where to grab lunch in Woodley Park! My role also extends to supporting our acupuncturists. It’s truly inspiring to know that I’m working with providers who really care about each patient that walks in our clinic. If you’re interested in acupuncture, please feel free to give us a call. I’d love to chat!
Finding a Creative Outlet at Cherry Blossom
When I first became a part of the Cherry Blossom Team, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I had worked with other medical practices in the past and so I had an idea of what patient care would look like. Cherry Blossom, however, was so different! The little details and care Elyse put into the practice really inspired me and so when she asked me to help with the Cherry Blossom Instagram page I was really excited to use that inspiration to fuel my creativity.
One of my favorite things about curating the Cherry Blossom Instagram page is brainstorming ideas for posts. I have learned so much about acupuncture and TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) working alongside our acupuncturists. Our main goal is to educate people about acupuncture and TCM in a fun and visual way. I really enjoy using social media as a method to reach out to potential new patients, and as an avid Instagram user, it’s a great way to learn about new things.
Supporting Patients and My Team as an Office Manager
A quote I live by is “Treat others the way you want to be treated.” It’s a very simple and powerful quote that shapes how I communicate with our patients and team. Many of the patients who walk in our doors are seeking treatment for chronic and acute conditions that have affected their lives. My hope is that when they come into our office, we’re able to provide some respite from what they are enduring.
I am really excited about Cherry Blossom’s growth and seeing the new faces walk in to receive care. I want our new patients to feel comfortable asking me or any administrative staff questions they have about our clinic and the care we provide. We are here and happy to help!
